Beginners: Recorder

Advanced: Bassoon | Saxophone
This is a two year course for children 7-9 years who have had less than two years prior music learning or are new to learning music. Students will learn how to play the descant recorder, basic music skills such as note reading, rhythm, pitch, playing in a group and they are also encouraged to develop good practice habits. You can purchase the course book, practice CD and Aulos Recorder from the GMC shop.
If students excell in the recorder course, they may only have to complete one year of recorder. This is assessed by their teacher at the end of the year.
